In collaboration with the UCI School of Engineering, the CeMi Lab organized an outreach event called IGNITE, aimed at introducing middle and high school students from Santa Ana to STEM fields, and provide guidance on college admissions and careers in engineering. The students visited our lab to explore the world of materials science and engineering through the lens of computational research. Professor Lee kicked off the event with an introduction to our lab and an overview of computational materials science, followed by lab members who discussed topics such as materials sustainability and electronic material applications. We are grateful to all who joined us for this engaging, fun, and meaningful day!
